Final Result of the Practical Exercise - Fresh Magazine

Media Studies - FRESH Magazine
During the several weeks of creating our magazines in groups: me, Chris & Muad we're able to complete our magazine which we call the FRESH magazine. Due to experience I was able to create the full magazine thanks to the help and support of my partner's advice and comments.
Since I'm not to comfortable with inDesign I decided to create my magazine on Photoshop CS3 which was much easier for me thanks to my subject Graphics, however I was able to import this magazine into inDesign and add small features such as some of the text into this which was a starting point for me using inDesign.

The reason I named the magazine Fresh was because our magazine was aimed at an Afro Caribbean audience, ages ranging from 15 - 18 teen aged boys, and as you can see you have two very successful smart looking actors who have inspired teenagers mostly Afro Caribbean teenagers, also I took into account that I should leave the background white for it shows the cleansness of the cover and somewhat professional looking. The donkey poking it's head from the side is the animal Eddie Murphy voice acts over in the movie shrek showing some fun and amusement in the magazine instead of just strictly two actors in suits as if this were a business magazine. The bold like text reflects the excitement which I believe could possibly draw in the audience a lot more instead of non bold text with not much enthusiasm in it. The reason I placed Will Smith's family in the magazine because it could possibly shows the Christianity of the families relation and what the actor's personal life is like; them being a happy family which could possibly inspire younger Afro Caribbean teenagers to aim for the same intentions of having a beautiful family and becoming successful.

Overall I believe my magazine has a positive message within it which will be recognised by Afro Caribbean teenagers when they begin to view it for all the different messages, pictures within it, which will definitely be a  magazine which they'd take interest in and more likely read.

Media Studies Update

From yesterdays lesson I have been able to complete my Media Magazine on photoshop, and customize my blog making it more fitting to my liking. Going into detail:
  • Completing the Media Magazine for a Black afro carribean audience, for the ages 12 - 17, family related it has lots of aspects that give it these characteristics.
  • My blog has a palette of red and black with several different media pictures, mostly anime pictures which I prefer, with a great looking theme to it.
I'll continue to update my blog, importing more detail of what my blog and the work I'm doing in my lessons is all about. - P4trick
